Role purpose

Wire and test MCC, PCC and PLC panels in the in-house panel shop and carry out plant cabling, termination and electrical maintenance.

Key responsibilities

Panel shop

  • Wire MCC, PCC, APFC and PLC panels to drawings: power and control wiring, ferruling and lugging.
  • Check wiring continuity and insulation; support panel testing and FAT.

Plant electrical

  • Lay cables on trays and in conduits; gland and terminate.
  • Connect motors, instruments and field devices; check rotation.
  • Carry out earthing, lighting and power distribution work.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance and fault finding of factory electrical systems.

Safety

  • Follow lock-out / tag-out and isolation procedures.
  • Use insulated tools and PPE; report hazards immediately.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical and panel wiring work.
  • Ability to read power and control wiring drawings.
  • Use of megger, multimeter and clamp meter.
  • Gujarat wireman licence preferred.

How performance is measured

  • Panels wired against the plan without wiring faults at testing.
  • Breakdowns attended within agreed time.
  • Zero electrical safety incidents.
