The Only State Where Organic Is the Legal Default
Sikkim is the first fully organic state in India. Chemical fertilisers and pesticides were phased out statewide, and the entire agricultural base — including the fodder that feeds its dairy animals — operates under that regime by law rather than by choice. For a dairy business that is a genuinely rare asset. Organic certification for milk at any scale is extremely difficult to assemble elsewhere in India, because it requires controlling an entire feed and land chain. Here the chain is already controlled.
That points a Sikkim plant firmly at value rather than volume. The state is small and the terrain is steep, so throughput will never be the argument; provenance and certification are. The engineering consequence is traceability — batch records from a named collection point through to the pack, and testing capability that can substantiate what the label claims, because an organic claim that fails scrutiny is worse than no claim. Steep-gradient collection and a genuinely cool ambient shape the rest of the design.
Proof We Carry Into Every Sikkim Project
Proof we carry into every Sikkim project: Sikkim borders West Bengal, ground our teams cover, and our nearest completed projects are the NDDB dairy projects we executed at Deoghar and at Sahibganj in Jharkhand, in the same eastern belt this state connects through. The gradient logistics, the cool highland ambient and the traceability discipline a Sikkim project requires are ones our engineering, commissioning and dairy parts teams have built to.
Nationally, ATMAN Group has delivered dairy work across 21 states since 2008 — process design, dairy machinery and dairy equipment, dairy automation, installation, commissioning and dairy parts support, all under one contract.
