Role purpose

Weld MS structures, skid frames, supports and platforms to drawing, with sound welds and safe working.

Key responsibilities

Welding

  • Weld skid base frames, platforms, ladders, pipe supports and structures by arc welding.
  • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
  • Prepare edges, grind and clean joints before welding.

Quality and safety

  • Check welds for cracks, porosity, undercut and distortion; correct defects.
  • Follow fabrication drawings and the engineer's instructions.
  • Use PPE and follow hot-work rules.
  • Use consumables with minimum wastage; keep the work area clean.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of arc welding experience.
  • Ability to read basic fabrication drawings and measurements.
  • Weld test at Sanand before selection.

How performance is measured

  • Welds passed without rework.
  • Daily work completed against the plan.
  • Zero safety incidents.
