An Old Engineering District Where Industrial Land Comes With Industrial History

Howrah has been an engineering and manufacturing district for over a century, which gives it serviced industrial land, skilled fabrication labour and established utilities. It also means many available sites carry legacy structures, older electrical infrastructure and previous industrial use that has to be assessed before a food plant goes onto them.

We survey Howrah sites properly before designing — what existing structure and utility capacity can be reused, what must be replaced, and what previous use means for a food-grade facility. Where an existing shed can be adapted, that is far cheaper than greenfield; where it cannot, we say so before money is committed.

Plant Types We Are Most Often Asked For Here

Paneer Plant — steady demand from the Kolkata conurbation with a fast route to market. See our paneer plant scope →

How We Work With Clients in the Howrah industrial belt

We take one contract for the whole build in the Howrah industrial belt — process design, dairy machinery supply, dairy automation, installation and commissioning — starting with an honest assessment of what an existing industrial site can and cannot be adapted to.

Local context we carry: We have executed NDDB dairy projects at Sahibganj and Deoghar in Jharkhand — Sahibganj sits directly on the West Bengal boundary, inside the same Ganga-belt milk economy that Howrah works in, so this terrain is not new ground for our engineering, commissioning and dairy parts teams. Nationally, ATMAN Group has delivered dairy work across 21 states since 2008, and the same discipline in dairy machinery selection and dairy parts support carries into every Howrah project we take on.

Scope We Deliver on a Howrah Project

A Howrah project is taken as one engineering responsibility from concept to a running line — from a site and structure assessment through to a commissioned line inside a properly food-graded facility.

Process design and plant layout — mass balance, utility sizing and floor plan worked around your milk profile and the site you have.

Dairy machinery and dairy equipment supply — pasteurisers, homogenisers, silos, heat exchangers, CIP and flow components engineered and fabricated at our own works.

Dairy automation and electricals — PLC/SCADA, control panels and instrumentation built in-house, not bought in and bolted on.

Installation and commissioning — our own erection and commissioning teams travel to site and stay until the line runs to specification.

After-sales and dairy parts — spares, wear components and service support that continue long after handover, so the plant stays serviceable for its full life.

Dairy Equipment & Systems We Supply

Alongside complete plants we design, manufacture and commission the individual systems that go inside them. Every item below is supplied to Howrah as engineered, installed and commissioned equipment — not as loose parts — and can be ordered on its own or as part of a turnkey contract.

Discuss Your Howrah Project

Tell us the plant type and the capacity you have in mind and one of our engineers will come back to you with a scope and an indicative budget. Design, supply, installation, commissioning and after-sales sit under a single contract, so there is one team to hold answerable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you manufacture in Howrah?

Our manufacturing and engineering works are in Ahmedabad. We are not a local Howrah fabricator and do not claim to be. We execute dairy projects in Howrah as a service — design, supply, installation, commissioning and after-sales — with our engineers on your site for the full build.

Can a dairy plant go into an existing industrial shed?

Often yes, and it saves considerable time and cost. It depends on headroom, floor condition, drainage, structural capacity and previous use, all of which we assess before recommending it.

What makes a building food-grade?

Cleanable surfaces, correct drainage falls, pest exclusion, segregated zones and controlled air in the product area. These are civil and layout decisions, and retrofitting them into a converted building is where most of the work sits.

What plant types do you build?

Liquid milk, paneer, cheese, mozzarella, curd and yogurt, ghee, butter, ice cream, milk powder, lassi and buttermilk, shrikhand, mawa and khoa, flavoured milk, whey processing and pouch milk packing plants.

Do you supply dairy machinery, dairy parts and dairy automation separately?

Yes. Apart from turnkey dairy plants we supply individual dairy machinery and dairy equipment, control panels and dairy automation systems, and we stock fast-moving dairy parts for units already running in Howrah.

What is your track record?

ATMAN Group has been engineering since 2008 and has delivered dairy work across 21 states. Closest to West Bengal, we have executed NDDB dairy projects at Sahibganj and Deoghar in Jharkhand, on the state’s western boundary and inside the same Ganga-belt milk economy, all delivered end to end by our own process, dairy automation and electrical teams.

Other West Bengal Districts We Serve

The same team, the same works and the same dairy machinery, dairy equipment and dairy automation capability serve every district below — along with dairy parts and spares support that continues long after handover.
